We've been busy making Indecab smarter, simpler, and more efficient. Here's a summary of the features and enhancements we've recently rolled out over the past few months to save you time while creating bookings, allotments, and duty slips.
Let’s dive into what’s new this month!
#1 - Document Checks on Allotment for DCO
It's important that duties are allotted to vehicles with valid paperwork. To help with this, we've added the ability to restrict allotment to vehicles with expired paperwork.
To enable this, go to: Business Settings → Duties/Bookings → Allow allotment with expired documents for Driver, Vehicle, DCO, Supplier, and Company Driver.

#2 - Create Duty Packages with Half Hours
In addition to standard whole-hour packages (4 hrs, 8 hrs, 12 hrs, etc.), you can now create duty packages (Go to Masters > Duty Types) with half-hour timings such as 2.5 hours or 4.5 hours.
Extra charges are calculated based on the exact package duration — no rounding required. Example: If a duty type is set as 4.5 hrs / 40 km:

#3 - Get Alerts for Vehicle Stoppage and Over-speeding
You can now receive two new duty alerts: vehicle stoppage and over-speeding. These help spot issues in real time, such as a driver taking an unplanned break for too long or driving rashly, so you can step in before it turns into a bigger problem or complaint.
Enable these alerts in Business Settings → Duties and Booking → Duty Tracking Alert Settings.

#4 - Mandatory Billing Items for Manually Closed Duty Slips
You can now make billing items mandatory when a duty slip is closed manually. This is useful when certain charges like toll, parking, or night halt must always be captured before a duty is closed, so bills going out to customers are never incomplete.
Simply enable the "Required to be included in manual duty slip" option from Masters → Billing Items. If that billing item is missing while creating, accepting, or importing a manually closed duty slip, an error is shown listing the missing items.
This also works for network duties, ensuring required billing items are included even when another car rental company closes the duty.

#5 - Scanned Attachments Included in Duty Slip Print or Download
You now get the duty slip and its attachments together in one print or download, instead of looking for them separately.

#6 - Supporter Phone Number Placeholder Added for Customer/Passenger SMS
You can now add the ‘Supporter’s Phone Number’ to the Duty Allotment SMS template (sent to Customer/Passenger/Booked By and Additional Contacts) making it easier to reach the Supporter directly if needed.
Just insert ##SUPPORTER_PHONE## wherever you'd like it to appear, via Business Settings → SMS Templates.

#7 - View Duty OTP for Sponsored Corporate Bookings
For Corporate accounts, you can now view the OTP directly from the duty detail section, letting them retrieve the start/end OTPs directly. When a passenger or driver cannot find the Start or End OTP and contacts your team for assistance, you can quickly retrieve the OTP from the Duty Details page without asking them to resend it.

#8 - Search Customers by Code
You can now search for a customer using their Customer Code.
The Customer Code is also shown in ‘grey’ next to the customer name, making it easier to identify the right customer you're looking for.

#9 - Import and Export
We've also expanded how vehicle, driver, and duty data moves in and out of the system — so your records are more complete from the start.
i. ‘Vehicle Import’ Format with More Fields
The Vehicle Import format now supports a much wider range of fields, so you can bring in complete vehicle records in one go — instead of adding details like insurance, registration, or loan info manually after import.
New fields you can now import include:
ii. Expanded ‘Driver Import Format’ with More Fields
The Driver Import format now supports a much wider set of fields, letting you bring in complete driver profiles in one import — instead of adding details manually after the initial upload.
New fields you can now import include:
iii. 'Bill To' Column Added to Export Duties
Get booking-level billing clarity in your duty exports, without having to cross-reference invoices manually.
Each duty row in the export now shows the:
