Sending driver location info to customers, passengers & bookers

This article will give you a detailed understanding of the Enroute feature.

This feature allows you to share your driver's real-time location information with customers, passengers & bookers before the start of the duty or even during a duty.

When driver location information is sent, your customer, passenger, and booker will receive an SMS and email with a link to the driver's real-time location. Clicking on a link will open a web browser displaying the location.

Note: En route will only work for drivers that have Duty based tracking enabled.

Step 1: Enabling the Enroute functionality

Enroute is an optional feature that can be enabled from Me - Business Settings. Once this feature is enabled, any duty performed through the Indecab Go Driver App will have the Enroute button visible.

Go to Me - Business Settings - Duties/Bookings section - scroll to bottom and tick the checkbox next to Enable duty enroute button for drivers - Save

There are 2 ways to share driver location information

1. From the duties section

2. From the Indecab Go - Driver app

To send driver enroute information, simply click on an In-Progress/Arrived status duty - click on the small gear icon next to the duty - click on Send driver/supplier location - Select specific number/email or choose all - Send

2. From the Indecab Go - Driver app

After a driver has accepted a duty and is on the way to the reporting address at the reporting time, the driver should open the Indecab Go Driver App - click on the En-route button - When this is done an SMS & Email will be sent with a link to the driver’s location to your customers, passengers and bookers.
