Action Steps:
- Identify Conditions: In the custom pricing table, under the columns for Auto-switch slabs, you can identify the conditions for changing duty types automatically. Duty types can switch automatically based on kilometres covered in a duty, or hours of duty, or both depending on which one is exceeded first.
- Set Thresholds: Under the columns for ‘‘Auto-switch slab after total X crosses’ enter the threshold kilometres or time after which the duty type should automatically switch to a new rate or category.
- Configure Auto Switch Groups: You can configure up to three auto switch groups for different scenarios:
If you want to enable auto-switching of duty types based on Kilometre limits only, follow the steps below.
Kilometres-based switching: Define the duty kilometre limit after which a duty type should change to the new duty type and rates.
- In the duty types row, under ‘Switch path group’ select a path with KM only (KM 1, KM 2 or KM 3).
- Assign the same path group to all duty types that are supposed to be in sequence.
- Now, when the duty crosses the kilometre limit of the first duty type, it will automatically switch to the next duty type in the assigned path group.
Note: You can have up to 3 unique path groups for kilometre-based switching

If you want to enable auto-switching of duty types based on timing limits only, follow the steps below.
Time-based switching: Define the duty time duration after which a duty type should change to the new duty type and rates.
- In the duty types row, under ‘Switch path group’ select a path with Time only (Time 1, Time 2 or Time 3).
- Assign the same path group to all duty types that are supposed to be in sequence.
- Now, when the duty crosses the time limit of the first duty type, it will automatically switch to the next duty type in the assigned path group.
Note: You can have up to 3 unique path groups for time-based switching
If you want to enable auto-switching of duty types based on whichever is crossed first, kilometre or time , follow the steps below.
Time or Kilometre (whichever first) based switching: Define the duty time duration or kilometre limit after which a duty type should change to the new duty type and rates.
- In the duty types row, under ‘Switch path group’ select a path with Time and Kilometres (Time & KM 1, Time & KM 2 or Time & KM 3).
- Assign the same path group to all duty types that are supposed to be in sequence.
- Now, when a duty crosses the time or kilometre limit of the first duty type, it will automatically switch to the next duty type in the assigned path group.
Note: You can have up to 3 unique path groups for time-based switching
By following these steps, you can effectively manage custom pricing and automate duty type selection, ensuring smooth operations and accurate billing in Indecab.
