How to copy data between different entries of the same section in Masters.

We understand that entering data manually for every entry with the same settings can be time consuming. To help you save time when setting up your masters, Indecab features copy settings functionality too. Now, you can easily duplicate a set of fields from one master to another.

A- Sections eligible for copying settings:

Currently, you can use copy settings in 4 sections in your Masters. Each section has different fields that you can copy.

1- Customers

2- Suppliers

3- My Drivers

4- My Vehicles

B- How to copy settings:

1- Customers-

Go to Masters - Customers - select the customer you want to copy data from - click on the top right gear icon - click on Copy settings to other customers - Select from drop down either customer name or customer group - Under Basic Settings select the fields you want to copy - Copy

Advanced settings:

There are 3 settings to copy

A- Custom Fields (By reference)- Selecting this will automatically copy existing custom fields. Also, in the future, if you create new custom fields, it will get automatically updated in the destination customer.

B- Custom Fields (Add New)- Selecting this will copy only existing custom fields to the destination customer.

C- Pricing: Selecting this will copy pricing to the destination customer.

2- Suppliers:

Go to Masters - Suppliers - select the supplier you want to copy data from - click on the top right gear icon - select Copy settings to other suppliers - Select from dropdown either supplier name or supplier group - Under Basic Settings select the fields you want to copy - Copy

In the suppliers section you can choose to copy network settings as well that have been mentioned in your Booking/Duties settings

3- My Drivers:

o to Masters - My Drivers - select the driver you want to copy data from - click on the top right gear icon - select Copy settings to other drivers - Select from dropdown driver name - Under Basic Settings select the fields you want to copy - Copy

4- My Vehicles:

Go to Masters - My Vehicles - select the vehicle you want to copy data from - click on the top right gear icon - select Copy settings to other vehicles - Select from dropdown either vehicle name or vehicle group - Under Basic Settings select the fields you want to copy - Copy
