While the Indecab Go Driver App remains our top recommendation for seamless digital duty slips, we understand that accessibility levels may vary among drivers. A Close Duty link via SMS is an efficient fix in such cases.
Drivers can easily submit completed duty slips with passenger signatures even without app access, ensuring a paperless and effective process.
Go to Me- Business Settings - Under Duties/Bookings click on Enable close duty link auto generation - Save Changes
Note: If this is not enabled, the SMS will show Close Duty: NA
Let’s understand how to send and use link based duty slips to complete duties.
A- Send an SMS with a link to complete a duty

Once a duty is in an Allotted status, an SMS with the Close duty link can be sent to your driver/ supplier to complete the duty.
Right click on the duty listing - click on Send Info - Under Driver/Supporters - You will see the SMS with a link included with Close Link - Click on Send
The Close Duty link can be used for duties allotted to DCO-type Suppliers or Non-Network Company Supplier Drivers.
If the duty is allotted to a network associate, only the associate can send the Close Duty link to their drivers.
This feature can only be used by full-access accounts.
Click on the link - Enter the required details in the duty slip - Take passenger rating, feedback and signature - Click on ‘Save’
Note: Duty slip details can be changed by clicking on Edit duty information. Changes cannot be made after the passenger has signed the duty slip.
Select the billing items - Update details - Select Close Duty
Drivers can update the image of the billing item by clicking on Upload again and attaching a new picture
Once the duty is closed via an SMS link, the duty will be in Completed status. By clicking on View Duty Slip, all the details added by the driver in the duty slip will be visible.
Important information for Custom SMS masking users
If you have SMS masking enabled, the Close Duty link in a duty slip can be utilised only after a new template registration of ‘Duty Allotment SMS to Driver’ is completed. Please email us on support@indecab.com for more details.
