How to add a bulk booking

Learn how to create multiple bookings easily.

From time to time, you may get high volume booking requests from your customers for events, conferences, weddings, and functions. In these scenarios, you will need to create bulk bookings for your customers.

There are 2 ways to go about this depending on the size of the bookings:

I: Smaller volume bulk bookings

II: Large bulk bookings

1: Adding smaller bulk bookings-
Smaller volume bulk bookings can be added by creating a parent booking and then creating additional child bookings, also called an itinerary booking.

2: Adding large bulk bookings-

You can add large volume bulk bookings by importing the bookings via an excel sheet into the Indecab platform.

You can do this by following the steps below:

Import bookings

Go to Operations - Bookings - Click on the large gear icon then click on Import Bookings (you can also click on import duties if you want to allot the duties while importing) - Download the import file format from the import pop-up window.

The excel file contains all the columns you need to enter the bookings in Indecab. You can also send this file to your customers for them to enter their booking requests.

Tip- Ensure the columns include the exact name spellings as you have in your customer masters. If they do not match, the import will not be successful. An easy solution is to copy names from the Customer Masters and paste it in the columns.

Once you have entered the booking information, save the excel sheet in .CSV format.

Go back to the Indecab dashboard - in the import pop-up window, click on Choose File - select the file you want to import and click on import duties/ bookings. The data will now get imported.

Check if the import was successful

Once the bookings have been imported, click on Download Import Results to view the booking IDs of all the imported bookings. The import results will also tell you about any errors next to the relevant bookings. You can simply rectify the errors and import the same file again.
