Updates for October 2024
1- Export Data in XLSX Format for Tally Prime
You can now export your business data from Indecab as an XLSX file as well, for improved compatibility with Tally Prime. This new addition makes it easier to integrate and manage your financial data within Tally Prime, streamlining your accounting processes. This development currently supports exports for ledgers and vehicle fuel data only.
To export data for Tally Prime, go to Me - Export to Tally - click on the section labelled Tally Prime - then click on the data you want to export.

2- Set Custom Timings for Outstation Overnight Allowance
We’ve added the ability to set specific Outstation Overnight Allowance Timings for better control of night allowances. This new column allows you to decide when the allowance applies, with timing options between 8:00 PM and midnight. If no timing is set, the default will be midnight.
The custom timings can be set at the Supplier or Customer level.
To set custom timings, go to masters - customers/ supplier - EDIT - under ‘Driver Allowance settings’ - select City and enter the timing under ‘Outstation overnight allowance time’ - save

Note : This is an optional feature, if there is no time entered Outstation overnight allowance would be charged post 00:00hrs
3- Driver Allowances Now Included in Subtotal on Duty Slip
We’ve updated the Edit Duty Slip page to allow driver allowances to be included in the subtotal when closing a duty slip with the final cost calculations. This improvement ensures that driver allowances can be factored into the duty’s final calculations, providing a clearer and more accurate calculation of the subtotal.
Go to duties - click on the duty slip with allowances applied - EDIT - Under ‘Sub total’ you will the duty subtotal amount inclusive of chargeable allowances and billing items

4- Export Purchase Duties Data by Billing and Completion Status
Introducing two new filters in the purchase duties export feature, that allow you to filter and export reports based on whether the status of a purchase duty is billed or completed. This enhancement provides more refined data for exports and analysis, making it easier to manage and review your purchase duties.
To export duties using these filters, go to Operations - Purchase Duties - Click on the large gear icon - Export Purchase Duties - select the preferred filter from the Status dropdown menu - then export your file in the preferred format

5- Block Drivers and Vehicles for Specific Customers
We’ve added the ability to blacklist drivers and vehicles from being allotted for specific customers. This feature allows you to restrict certain drivers and vehicles from being assigned to particular customers, ensuring better control over allocations and customer preferences.
Go to masters - customers - EDIT - under ‘Booking/Duties settings’ you will see 2 columns:
Drivers - Restrict booking allotment to these drivers
Vehicles - Restrict booking allotment to these vehicles
Here enter the driver/vehicle names who should not be visible during allotment for this customer - save

6- Easy Payment Status Fix for Failed Transactions
A new Customer needs to retry label now appears next to failed payment statuses to help you better manage failed payment retries. Now, if a customer’s payment fails, they can retry with the same link, and the request status will update to Processing upon a successful attempt. This prevents the need for creating new requests or manual payments, and reduces the risk of double payments by the customer.
Open the failed payment gateway - Next to the status ‘Failed’ you will see ‘Customer needs to retry’

Note : To understand the reason for failure, scroll to the bottom and under Activity Log you will be able to see the failure reason
7- Display Passenger "Note" in Essential Sections
We’ve added the ability to display a Passenger Note in all relevant sections, similar to how customer notes are shown. Now, passenger notes will appear while undertaking the following actions:
Add/Edit Booking
Edit Duty
Close Duty
Edit/Create Invoice
This enhancement ensures that important passenger information is consistently visible throughout the booking and invoicing process, improving communication and reducing errors.
To add a passenger note for your own passengers, go to masters - customers - click on the customer - select ‘Manage People’ - click on the passenger name and under ‘Passenger Notes’ enter the details - Save

8- New Customisations for SMS and WhatsApp Messages with Flight Details and Duty Type Section
You can now add a dedicated section for flight details and duty type in your SMS and WhatsApp templates, improving communication clarity for bookings and allotments.
A dedicated section for passenger’s flight details (if applicable) can now be added in the following message types:
Booking Confirmation
Allotment Info to Customer
Allotment Info to Driver
Allotment Info to Supplier
A dedicated section for Duty Type can now be added in the following message types
Booking Confirmation
Allotment Info to Driver
To add the flight details or duty type section and customise your own templates for SMS and Whatsapp messages, go to Me - Business Settings - SMS Templates or Whatsapp Templates - Then create your own custom templates in the section for each message type by choosing the individual placeholders.
